The unit took close to a month to be delivered, but once it arrived the installation was quite straight forward. The loom intercepts some existing connectors and it is all plug and play.
Once installed, it adds significant functionality to the existing screen(s) in the vehicle, allowing video to be streamed to the rear headrests and also the front screen. The improvements to navigation is also a big win. The amazing audio quality is retained.
Downside is that the original touchscreen (which remains in the vehicle) is not really suited for gestures like swiping, so it is a bit clunky to use apps like youtube or netflix, especially with the resolution.

This was great for upgrading our 2016 Lexus NX! Definitely recommend!!

Wouldn't know any different that this is not a factory carplay. The email support was fantastic and helped answer all the questions I had during install; we found out we needed a firmware update and that was pretty straight forward with just a usb key. They carplaay boots by the time I am 10-20 seconds from starting my car and the resolution looks great on the 12" screen I have on the lexus GS 2019.

I bought this for my boyfriend and he ended up loving it , at first i was sketchy but i emailed them and they responded quickly shipping take a little bit of time but it’s because it has to go through customs anyways overall 1000/10 !! thank you!!
