Returns and Warranty Statements

1. Scope & Disclaimer

  • This policy applies only to purchases made directly on Carputech’s official website (carputech.com).

  • Orders placed through Amazon, eBay, or other platforms follow their respective return/warranty policies; Carputech is not responsible.

  • Expedited shipping fees are non-refundable once the order has shipped.


2. Warranty Policy

  • CarPlay modules & Android screens: 2-year warranty.

  • Other products: 1-year warranty.

  • Refurbished products: 1-year warranty, no return/exchange unless defective.

  • Free gifts: no warranty.

  • Warranty period starts from the delivery date.

  • Even after the warranty expires, Carputech provides lifetime technical support and usage guidance.


3. Returns & Exchanges Due to Product Issues

Within 0–60 days:

  • Replacement: Product must be returned as instructed; after testing, a brand-new unit will be sent (Carputech covers shipping).

  • Refund: Full package including all accessories and manuals must be returned in good condition to qualify.

61 days–2 years:

  • Product must be returned for inspection.

  • If repairable: replacement parts will be provided free of charge.

  • If not repairable: Carputech offers a discounted replacement based on the original purchase date.

  • The warranty of replacement products follows the original order date.

  • Customers may be required to provide additional information (firmware, car model, wiring photos, etc.). Failure to cooperate may affect warranty eligibility.


4. Returns & Exchanges for Non-Product Issues (Customer Preference)

Within 0–30 days:

  • Not Installed:

    • Replacement: Allowed. Customer pays any price difference plus both return and reshipping costs.

    • Refund: Allowed, but a 19% restocking fee and original shipping cost will be deducted.

  • Installed:

    • Replacement: Not supported.

    • Refund: Allowed, but a 29%–39% restocking fee plus original shipping cost will be deducted.

Over 30 days:

  • No returns or exchanges are accepted, regardless of installation status.


5. Order Cancellation & Refund Process

  • Before shipping or production: Orders may be canceled for a full refund.

  • After shipping: Cancellation is not possible.

  • Once a return is received and inspected, customers will receive an approval email within 48 hours.

  • Approved refunds are processed within 3 business days back to the original payment method (final posting time depends on the bank).

  • If a refund is delayed, customers should first contact their bank/credit card provider, then email support@carputech.com if unresolved.


6. Additional Notes

  • Check upon delivery: If a product arrives damaged or incorrect, do not sign for it. Take photos and report within 5 days.

  • Missing accessories: Must be reported within 30 days of receipt.

  • Contact before return: Customers must contact Carputech support before shipping items back, otherwise the package may be rejected and costs borne by the customer.

  • If issues arise after installation: Do not remove the unit. Take photos/videos and contact Carputech within 5 days.

  • Costs not covered: Installation, removal, and taxes are not reimbursed. (Shipments from UK/US warehouses are tax-free.)

  • Professional installation recommended: Improper installation may void warranty coverage.

  • Used cars with pre-installed units: Carputech is not responsible for the original installation but still provides technical support.
